The Department of CSE and allied branches of Aditya College of Engineering and Technology, organized a One-Day Workshop on “Mini Project Ideation and Execution” on 23/08/25 as part of the Skill Development Program. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Shridhar Devamane, Dean (R&D), M S Engineering College.
The workshop commenced with a formal welcome address by Dr Naveen Kumar C, Professor and Head Department of CSE, followed by an introduction of the guest speaker. Dr. Devamane, with his rich experience in research and innovation, highlighted the importance of mini projects in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
During the technical sessions, he guided students on:
- The process of generating innovative and feasible project ideas.
- Identifying real-world problems and mapping them into project objectives.
- Strategies for planning, executing, and documenting mini projects effectively.
- The significance of teamwork, research methodology, and time management in project execution.
Interactive sessions were conducted where students presented their preliminary ideas and received constructive feedback. Dr. Devamane also emphasized how mini projects can lay the foundation for major projects, publications, and even entrepreneurial ventures.
The workshop was highly engaging and beneficial for students, enhancing their skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and project management. More than 85 students actively participated in the program.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Ganesh, Director ACET expressing gratitude to Dr. Shridhar Devamane for his valuable insights and to the management for their support in organizing the program.
Overall, the workshop was a great success, inspiring students to approach mini projects with creativity, innovation, and confidence.
