Inauguration of Centre for Research and Development
Inauguration of the Centre for Research and Development at Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Bengaluru on 7th April 2025, marks a significant milestone in the institution’s commitment to innovation and research. The centre has the potential to become a hub for innovation, driving breakthrough technology solutions and establishing ACET as a leader in research and development. The Research and Development Center (CRD) were inaugurated on 7th April 2025 by distinguished scientists, accomplished engineers and pioneers in their respective professional domain.
Dr. Prasad Naik Hamsavath, Principal, ACET welcomed the distinguished guests and honored them. He discussed the role of R & D activities and its significance of practical applications of innovative engineering solutions.
Padmashree Dr. Prahalad Rao, Missile Scientist of India and former director DRDO addressed the students with emphasis on innovation solutions for the current technological challenges that plague our society. He asked every engineering student to make contribution to the Emerging India in 2047.
Prof. K. J. Rao Emeritus Professor (Chemistry), IISc, Bangalore enlightened students with rich Indian scientific heritage and asked students to become “curious” and explore mother nature to develop deep insight of quantum worlds.
Dr. U. T. Vijay Executive Secretary, KSCST, IISC, Bangalore highlighted the significance of Intellectual Property (IP) rights and patents, GI tags for the rich intellectual assets that we possess. He assured to setup IP cell at ACET and encourage students for innovative projects that add value to the society.
Sri. Vilas Rathod, Senior Scientist, ISTRAC, ISRO, Bangalore highlighted the role space applications and payload management for various Indian satellites and students can contribute to the ISRO national visions and space endeavors.
Prof. B. A. Patil, Head R & D highlighted role of R&D programs and presented a high-level program for coming years with international collaborations and industry partners.
Dr. B.A. VBishwanath, Chairman of AGI, has delivered the Presidential Address and emphasized on a ‘Leap of Faith’ and address students to have 6Ps in their life Planning, Preparation, Practice, Pursuance, Perform or Perish and encouraged students to involve in the research lab and contribute in Publications to Patents.
