National Technology Day Celebration Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering celebrated National Technology Day on 11-05-2026 in the engineering college. National Technology Day is celebrated in India on May 11 annually to commemorate the successful Pokhran-II nuclear tests (Operation Shakti) conducted on May 11, 1998. The event aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of technology and innovation in national development.

The program began with a welcome speech, followed by an address by the Principal highlighting the role of engineers in technological advancement. HOD’s, Faculty members and students actively participated in the celebration.

As part of the celebration, Project Phase 1 Review was conducted for Pre- final-year students. Students presented their project ideas, objectives, methodology, and initial progress before the review committee and faculty members. Valuable suggestions and guidance were provided to improve the projects and encourage innovative thinking.   As part of the celebration, a Book of Abstracts was published to showcase the innovative ideas and technical projects of students. The program encouraged students to enhance their technical knowledge and innovative skills. The event concluded successfully with active participation from students and staff members.

Dr. Mutyala Subramanyam is a distinguished academic professional with over 18 years of experience in higher education, research, and academic leadership. Dr. Subramanyam holds a Ph.D. in Commerce and Management and is a Gold Medalist in M.Com. He has an extensive publication record with numerous research articles published in Scopus- and Web of Science indexed journals, along with several books and book chapters in the areas of governance, financial inclusion, and sustainable business practices. His scholarly work significantly contributes to both academic literature and policy-relevant discourse.

As a recognized doctoral supervisor, he has successfully guided six Ph.D. scholars to completion and is currently mentoring additional research candidates. He has also led major funded research projects and contributed to interdisciplinary research initiatives addressing social empowerment, entrepreneurship, and corporate transparency.

Dr. Subramanyam has held several prominent academic leadership roles, including Professor and Director, Head of Department, Research Coordinator, Assistant Director (Academic Administration), and Member of Academic Council and Boards of Studies. His leadership has been instrumental in curriculum development, institutional accreditation processes, faculty mentoring, and strengthening university research ecosystems.

The hybrid seminar was inaugurated with a welcome address by Dr. Kaveri (HOD, ECE), followed by introductory remarks from Dr. Madhusudhan (IIC Convener) and Dr. M.S. Ganesh Prasad (Principal). The Chairman Dr. B.A. Vishwanath and Chairperson Dr. Priya Vishwanath of AGI – Bengaluru also graced the occasion. Expert Talk on Technology Readiness Level – 2026

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Yelahanka, Bengaluru, organised an Expert Talk on Technology Readiness Level (TRL) on Saturday, 11th April 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the 1st Floor Seminar Hall, ACET, Bengaluru. The event was organized under the auspices of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and was supported by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Government of India and AICTE, New Delhi. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. M Mahesh, Technical Manager, Building Technology Solutions, L&T Technology Services, Hebbal Industrial Area, Mysore, who served as the Resource Person for the session. Dr. M Mahesh is a seasoned professional specializing in Building Technology Solutions with extensive experience in translating research concepts into deployable industrial technologies. He brought a wealth of practical insight into the application of the Technology Readiness Level framework across real-world engineering projects, bridging the gap between academia and industry. Technology Readiness Level (TRL) is a systematic metric framework originally developed by NASA and widely adopted by research organizations, industries, and government bodies worldwide to assess the maturity of a technology. The scale ranges from TRL 1 (basic principles observed) to TRL 9 (actual system proven in an operational environment). The expert talk aimed to bridge the gap between academic research and industry application, providing students and faculty with a comprehensive understanding of TRL and its importance in engineering innovation, product development, and commercialization. The session covered key highlights including an introduction to the history and concept of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL 1–9) and their global adoption, a detailed explanation of each TRL stage supported by real-world engineering and product development examples from L&T, and the practical application of TRL within the context of L&T Technology Services and modern industrial practices. The talk also emphasized the importance of TRL assessment in securing research funding, industry partnerships, and government approvals, and provided guidance for students and researchers on applying TRL thinking to their ongoing projects and innovations. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A involving active participation from students and faculty on innovation and entrepreneurship. The event was organized under the distinguished patronage of Dr. B A Vishwanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions, and Dr. Priya Vishwanath, Chairperson, Aditya Group of Institutions. The event was presided over by Dr. M. S. Ganesh Prasad, Principal, ACET. International Women’s Day Celebration – 2026

The International Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect on 8th March 2026 at Aditya College of Engineering and Technology, Bengaluru. The purpose of the celebration was to promote gender equality in society. All ACET women staff were participated in this event.
The program began with a welcome address by the host, who highlighted the importance of Women’s Day and the contributions of women in different fields such as education, science, politics, and social work.

The chief guest Ms. Vidya S R from Smile Foundation appreciated the efforts of the organizers and encouraged everyone to respect, support, and empower women in every aspect of life. The message emphasized that empowering women leads to the development of families, communities, and the nation.

AI & Innovation Sprints: Rapid Prototyping for Digital Transformation

Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Bengaluru, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council and IEEE Chapter, organized a Technical Talk on “AI & Innovation Sprints: Rapid Prototyping for Digital Transformation” on 26 February 2026 at 10:00 AM.

The speaker for the program was Dr. M. S. Ganesha Prasad, Principal, ACET. In his address, he elaborated on: how Artificial Intelligence and innovation-driven methodologies enable organizations to quickly design, test, and refine solutions through rapid prototyping by giving examples of 3D printing. He highlighted practical industry (Industrial IOT) examples demonstrating how AI enhances operational efficiency, predictive analytics, smart automation, and decision-making processes.

The program was attended by Third Year students of Information Science Engineering and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The session successfully enhanced students’ understanding of AI applications in industry and encouraged them to adopt innovation-oriented thinking in their academic and professional pursuits.

Blood Donation Camp at ACET

A Blood Donation Camp was successfully conducted on 9th January 2026 at the ACET premises in collaboration with the Rastrottana Blood Center. The camp was organized with the noble intention of helping Thalassemia-affected children who are dependent on continuous blood transfusions.

Appreciated Students, teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff who have actively participated in the camp and voluntarily donated blood. Prior to donation, donors were screened medically, and awareness was provided regarding the donation process and post-donation care. The event promoted a spirit of social responsibility, compassion, and service among the participants.

Innovation Showcase: Prototype & Linkage with Innovation Ambassadors

The Innovation Showcase: Prototype & Linkage with Innovation Ambassadors was organized by the Department of Chemistry, Aditya College of Engineering and Technology, Bengaluru, on 7th January 2026. The event provided an interactive platform for students to exhibit their prototypes and engage with innovation ambassadors, fostering mentorship, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. With the theme “Where prototypes connect with innovation leaders,” the showcase encouraged practical innovation, strengthened industry–academia linkage, and inspired students to transform ideas into impactful solutions.

The Intra Institution Innovation Competition and Reward for Best Innovations was organized by the Department of Chemistry, Aditya College of Engineering and Technology, Bengaluru, on 6th January 2026. The event provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas, creativity, and problem-solving skills. With the theme “Where Ideas Compete and Innovation Wins,” the competition encouraged a culture of innovation and research within the institution, recognizing and rewarding outstanding ideas that demonstrated technical excellence and real-world relevance.
