On the occasion of World Creativity and Innovation Day, the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Department of Physics, organized an insightful talk titled “Nano Innovations to Intelligent Systems: The Next Engineering Revolution.” The session highlighted emerging advancements in nanotechnology, Quantum materials and their role in shaping intelligent engineering solutions. The talk inspired students and faculty to think creatively, embrace innovation, and explore interdisciplinary research opportunities. The event fostered a spirit of scientific curiosity and innovation aligned with the vision of future technological development.

On Product Market Fit, Prototype/Process Design, and MVP Development

The Department of MBA successfully conducted an Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) activity titled “On Product Market Fit, Prototype/Process Design, and MVP Development” with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The session was delivered by Dr. Allah Bhakash, who shared valuable insights on how innovative ideas can be transformed into successful products through proper design, validation, and development, supported by real-time case studies and practical examples.

Expert Talk on Technology Readiness Level – 2026

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Yelahanka, Bengaluru, organised an Expert Talk on Technology Readiness Level (TRL) on Saturday, 11th April 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the 1st Floor Seminar Hall, ACET, Bengaluru. The event was organized under the auspices of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and was supported by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Government of India and AICTE, New Delhi. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. M Mahesh, Technical Manager, Building Technology Solutions, L&T Technology Services, Hebbal Industrial Area, Mysore, who served as the Resource Person for the session. Dr. M Mahesh is a seasoned professional specializing in Building Technology Solutions with extensive experience in translating research concepts into deployable industrial technologies. He brought a wealth of practical insight into the application of the Technology Readiness Level framework across real-world engineering projects, bridging the gap between academia and industry. Technology Readiness Level (TRL) is a systematic metric framework originally developed by NASA and widely adopted by research organizations, industries, and government bodies worldwide to assess the maturity of a technology. The scale ranges from TRL 1 (basic principles observed) to TRL 9 (actual system proven in an operational environment). The expert talk aimed to bridge the gap between academic research and industry application, providing students and faculty with a comprehensive understanding of TRL and its importance in engineering innovation, product development, and commercialization. The session covered key highlights including an introduction to the history and concept of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL 1–9) and their global adoption, a detailed explanation of each TRL stage supported by real-world engineering and product development examples from L&T, and the practical application of TRL within the context of L&T Technology Services and modern industrial practices. The talk also emphasized the importance of TRL assessment in securing research funding, industry partnerships, and government approvals, and provided guidance for students and researchers on applying TRL thinking to their ongoing projects and innovations. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A involving active participation from students and faculty on innovation and entrepreneurship. The event was organized under the distinguished patronage of Dr. B A Vishwanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions, and Dr. Priya Vishwanath, Chairperson, Aditya Group of Institutions. The event was presided over by Dr. M. S. Ganesh Prasad, Principal, ACET. The event was coordinated by Dr. Kaveri, Head of Department, ECE, Dr. Karthik, IIC R&D Co-ordinator, and Dr. Madhusudhan, IIC Convener, ACET, Bengaluru. Faculty members and student volunteers from various departments actively participated in organizing the event, ensuring its smooth execution. The expert talk was enthusiastically received by the student and faculty community. Participants gained valuable insights into how technology maturity is measured and managed in industry, and how the TRL framework can guide innovation from concept to commercialization. The session fostered greater awareness about the critical link between academic research and real-world industrial deployment, inspiring participants to adopt structured innovation thinking in their projects. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to Dr. M Mahesh for his insightful and inspiring talk. The organizing team, faculty coordinators, and the IIC committee expressed their gratitude for his generous knowledge sharing and guidance. The session will focus on identifying market needs, designing effective prototypes, and developing Minimum Viable Products (MVP) that align with real-world demands. The workshop will be delivered by Dr. Allah Bakash, Professor and Head of the MBA Department at R.L. Jalappa Institute of Technology, who will share valuable insights on innovation, product validation, and startup development. The session is scheduled on 13th March at 10:00 AM onwards and will be held at the 1st Floor Seminar Hall, ACET. This program is organized under the guidance of the institution’s leadership and coordinated by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical learning among students.

International Women’s Day Celebration – 2026

The International Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect on 8th March 2026 at Aditya College of Engineering and Technology, Bengaluru. The purpose of the celebration was to promote gender equality in society. All ACET women staff were participated in this event.
The program began with a welcome address by the host, who highlighted the importance of Women’s Day and the contributions of women in different fields such as education, science, politics, and social work.

The chief guest Ms. Vidya S R from Smile Foundation appreciated the efforts of the organizers and encouraged everyone to respect, support, and empower women in every aspect of life. The message emphasized that empowering women leads to the development of families, communities, and the nation.
Dr. Ganesha Prasad M S, Principal ACET gave the brief about Women Empowerment.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Management, Principal, AO madam, faculty members and non-teaching staff, and organizers who contributed to the success of the event.
Overall, the Women’s Day celebration was informative, inspiring, and memorable, reminding everyone of the vital role women play in shaping society.

AI & Innovation Sprints: Rapid Prototyping for Digital Transformation

Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Bengaluru, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council and IEEE Chapter, organized a Technical Talk on “AI & Innovation Sprints: Rapid Prototyping for Digital Transformation” on 26 February 2026 at 10:00 AM.

The speaker for the program was Dr. M. S. Ganesha Prasad, Principal, ACET. In his address, he elaborated on: how Artificial Intelligence and innovation-driven methodologies enable organizations to quickly design, test, and refine solutions through rapid prototyping by giving examples of 3D printing. He highlighted practical industry (Industrial IOT) examples demonstrating how AI enhances operational efficiency, predictive analytics, smart automation, and decision-making processes.

The program was attended by Third Year students of Information Science Engineering and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The session successfully enhanced students’ understanding of AI applications in industry and encouraged them to adopt innovation-oriented thinking in their academic and professional pursuits.

Innovation and Design Thinking Workshop

Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (Approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to VTU Belagavi) is organizing a three-day workshop on Innovation and Design Thinking from February 19 to 21, between 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM at Ground Floor, Rooms 5 & 8. The workshop aims to cultivate an innovative mindset among students and help them develop practical problem-solving skills. With the belief that “Innovation is the bridge between a problem and its solution,” this program focuses on guiding participants to identify real-world challenges, apply structured design thinking methods, and build creative, user-centered solutions. National Youth Day 2026

The students of ACET Participated in the programme, organized in the observation of Rashtriya Yuva Din-2026 commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The event was organized by the Hon’ble Principal Dr. Ganesha Prasad, HODs and other faculties took apart of “National Youth Day” at ACET campus on 14 January 2026.

The students and the faculty offered flowers and prayers to Swami Vivekananda.

Students of ACET campus actively participated in the celebration and made the event a success.

The life story of Swami Vivekananda inspired students and gave a motivation for life to achieve greater heights.

Blood Donation Camp at ACET

A Blood Donation Camp was successfully conducted on 9th January 2026 at the ACET premises in collaboration with the Rastrottana Blood Center. The camp was organized with the noble intention of helping Thalassemia-affected children who are dependent on continuous blood transfusions.

Appreciated Students, teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff who have actively participated in the camp and voluntarily donated blood. Prior to donation, donors were screened medically, and awareness was provided regarding the donation process and post-donation care. The event promoted a spirit of social responsibility, compassion, and service among the participants.
