About the Counsellor
L. R. Sampriya is a postgraduate in Counselling Psychology with hands-on experience in supporting individuals through emotional, academic, and personal challenges. She has worked with diverse groups, including college students and children with ADHD, ASD, and learning differences. Her experience also includes conducting workshops on time management, study skills, and mental well-being.
She believes in creating a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment where individuals feel heard, understood, and supported. Her approach combines empathy with practical strategies to help students effectively navigate stress, relationships, self-doubt, and life transitions.
Counselling Services
Counselling provides a safe and confidential space where students can openly discuss concerns, gain clarity, and receive support. It is a place to explore thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment.
Students may seek counselling for a variety of reasons, including:
- Academic stress and performance concerns
- Â Anxiety, overthinking, and low mood
- Relationship and family issues
- Self-doubt and confidence building
- Difficulty adjusting to new environments or life changes
Counselling is not limited to crisis situations. It can also support personal growth, emotional awareness, and the development of effective coping strategies.
Rather than offering direct solutions, the counselling process helps individuals understand their thoughts and behaviours, view situations from different perspectives, and make informed decisions. It also equips students with practical skills to manage stress, regulate emotions, and build healthier relationships.
Our Approach
The counselling process is student-centered, focusing on:
Active listening and understanding
Emotional support and validation
Practical coping and life skills
Personal growth and self-awareness
