On November 7, 2025, the Department of Basic Sciences at Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Bangalore, organized Auroria 2025 – a vibrant and inspiring Science Exhibition designed to foster creativity, innovation, and the spirit of scientific inquiry among first-year students.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ganesh Babu T., Director, and Dr. M. S. Ganesha Prasad, Principal, who appreciated the students’ enthusiasm, innovation, and the practical application of scientific concepts displayed through various models and demonstrations.
The theme of the session, “Achieving Problem–Solution Fit,” encouraged students to approach challenges with analytical thinking and develop solutions that bridge science and real-world needs. Each exhibit reflected the students’ ability to integrate classroom learning with problem-solving creativity, showcasing how science can drive meaningful impact.
Auroria 2025 proved to be an engaging and insightful event, filled with innovation, teamwork, and learning. It truly exemplified that science is not confined to theories—it is a tool to solve problems, inspire ideas, and shape the future.

Workshop on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” as a Career Opportunity

A seminar on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity” was conducted at Aditya College of Engineering and Technology. The session aimed to inspire students to explore entrepreneurship as a viable and rewarding career path, emphasizing the role of innovation and creative thinking in shaping successful ventures.
The seminar was delivered by Prof Jagadeesh Patil S, who shared his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of entrepreneurship and business development. The program was attended by students from various departments, who actively participated and interacted throughout the session.
Objectives of the Seminar
The main objectives of this seminar were to:
1. Create awareness among students about entrepreneurship and its growing importance in the modern economy.
2. Explain the difference between being an entrepreneur and running a traditional business.
3. Encourage innovative thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
4. Provide insights into the government and private funding opportunities available for student entrepreneurs in India.
Key Highlights of the Session
➢ Difference between Entrepreneurship and Business
Prof Jagadeesh Patil S began the session by explaining the fundamental difference between entrepreneurship and business.
He stated that a businessperson typically manages an existing model with a focus on profit,
where as an entrepreneur identifies new opportunities, takes calculated risks, and introduces innovation to create value and bring change to society.
➢ Understanding Startups
The concept of startups was discussed in detail. Prof. Patil highlighted that startups are not just small businesses but innovative ventures designed to scale rapidly. He emphasized that India has become one of the largest startup ecosystems in the world, providing immense scope for young minds to contribute through creativity and technology.
➢ Importance of Innovation
Innovation was identified as the key element of successful entrepreneurship. Prof. Patil motivated students to think beyond conventional boundaries and develop solutions that address real-world problems. He stressed that innovation helps differentiate one’s product or service in a competitive market.
➢ Funding Opportunities for Students
An important part of the seminar focused on the funding options available to student entrepreneurs in India. Prof. Patil elaborated on various schemes and support systems provided
by the Government of India, such as:

Incubation Centers and Innovation Cells in educational institutions

The session was highly interactive, with students asking questions about idea validation, risk
management, and ways to build a startup team. Prof. Patil shared real-life examples of successful

“Student’s Integrity is Nation’s Priority” — Road Safety Awareness Session @ ACET, Bangalore
Aditya College of Engineering & Technology, Bangalore, organized an awareness session on Road Safety and Student Responsibility under the theme “Drive with Honor, Learn with Pride — Safe Roads Begin with Responsible Students.”
The session was led by Mr. Dilip Kumar, Police Inspector, Rajanukunte, Bangalore, who shared valuable insights on traffic discipline, civic responsibility, and the pivotal role of youth in building safer communities.
The session began with a warm welcome by Dr. M. S. Ganesha Prasad, Principal, Aditya College of Engineering & Technology, who sensitized students on the importance of being responsive and attentive to the address of the guest speaker.

Technical talk on Multi modal reasoning for robotics and process intelligence
It gives us immense pleasure to announce the successful completion of the Technical Talk on “Multimodal Reasoning for Robotics and Process Intelligence (MRRPI)”, organized by Aditya College of Engineering and Technology in association with IQAC–ACET and the IEEE–ACET Student Branch on 27th October 2025.
We were truly honoured to host Dr. Petar Durdevic, CEO, Ownlytics, Aalborg, Denmark, and Associate Professor, AAU Energy, Aalborg University, Denmark, for this enlightening and motivational session.
Dr. Durdevic shared invaluable insights through his expert talk and inspiring life story, motivating students and researchers with his journey as a successful innovator in the fields of robotics, data-driven intelligence, and sustainable technologies.
This program was conducted as part of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) initiative — “My Story / Motivational Expert Sessions by Successful Innovators” — aimed at nurturing creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit among young minds.
IPR Basics for Innovators & Entrepreneurs – ACET
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Yelahanka, Bengaluru, in association with IQAC–ACET and IEEE–ACET Student Branch, organized a workshop on “IPR Basics for Innovators & Entrepreneurs – Fostering Innovation Among Students: Incubation, Hackathons & Beyond” on 28th October 2025 at the 1st Floor Seminar Hall, ACET.
The workshop aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among students and to encourage innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship in alignment with institutional innovation goals.
The Resource Person for the session was Dr. Venkatesha Muniswamy, Professor and Head, Department of ECE, Sai Vidya Institute of Technology (SVIT), Executive Member, IEEE Bangalore Section, and IIC Innovation Ambassador. He delivered an insightful session highlighting the importance of IPR in protecting innovative ideas, the process of patent filing, and how students can leverage incubation centers and hackathons to translate ideas into viable products and startups.
The program was presided over by Dr. M. S. Ganesha Prasad, Principal, ACET, and coordinated by Dr. Naveen Kumar C, Head, Department of CSE and Branch Counselor, IEEE–ACETSB. Dr. Madhusudhan, IIC Convener, ACET, extended his support in organizing the event.

The IEEE Student Branch (STB60227795) of Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Yelahanka, Bengaluru, celebrated IEEE Day 2025 on 28th October 2025 at the 1st Floor Seminar Hall. The event was organized to commemorate the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and technological advancement that IEEE stands for, under the theme “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.”

An industrial visit was organized by the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Data Science (DS), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML), and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AIDS) of Aditya College of Engineering and Technology, Kamakshipura, Yelahanka, Bengaluru – 89 on 27/10/25 to U. R. Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), ISRO, Old Airport Road, Bengaluru – 17.

National Engineers’ Day celebration
Aditya College of Engineering and Technology, Yelahanka, Kamakshipura, Bangalore – 560089, organized a special session on 15th September 2025 as part of Engineers’ Day celebrations, featuring a live demonstration of the Prepfree Placement Platform by Mr. Om Kumar Jena, B2B Specialist from Unlox.
The session aimed to introduce students to innovative digital tools that support career readiness and placement preparation. Mr. Jena provided a comprehensive walkthrough of the platform, showcasing its key features such as mock interviews, aptitude and coding assessments, resume building, and personalized performance analytics. INDUSTRIAL VISIT
Our students from ISE department had the opportunity to visit NTTF (Nettur Technical Training Foundation), Electronic City, Bangalore on 29th August 2025. The objective of this industrial visit was to provide students with practical exposure to emerging technologies and help them understand their applications in real-world industrial scenarios.
During the visit, the students were introduced to various IoT (Internet of Things) based projects, where they learned how interconnected devices can be used to collect, process, and share data for automation and smart decision-making. They were shown practical demonstrations of IoT systems applied in fields such as home automation, smart monitoring, and industrial control, which gave them a clear picture of how theory translates into functional systems.

The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Shridhar Devamane, Dean (R&D), M S Engineering College.

DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAM
0ur ACET College recently organized drug awareness program. which was held on 23/6/2025.
The main agenda of this program is to educate students about carcinogenicity of substances and its consequences. Praveen kumar, police inspector CEN (Cybercrime Economic Offences and Narcotic), Bengaluru city police, Govt. of Karnataka. He served as the guest of honour and he emphasized the importance of community involvement in preventing substance abuse. Nagesh, police Sub Inspector, Rajanukunte, Govt. of Karnataka highlighted the role of law enforcement in supporting rehabilitation efforts.
The program increased awareness, promoted healthy lifestyle choices, and fostered a supportive community. Students gained valuable knowledge, contributing to a positive campus environment. The initiative encouraged students to prioritize their well-being and seek help when needed. The program successfully promoted a healthy and safe campus, empowering students with knowledge to make informed choices. Celebration of International Yoga Day – June 21, 2025
Aditya Group of Institutions, Bengaluru, celebrated ‘International Yoga Day’ with great enthusiasm on July 21, 2025. The event, held on the college’s open grounds, saw active participation from more than 1000 students and staff, embracing this year’s global theme: “One Earth, One Health.” The celebration was graced by eminent personalities including Smt. Rachal David, popular Indian cinema actress, who attended as the ‘Chief Guest’, and Ms. Tanmai Desai, Yoga Teacher from Sri Sri Art of Living, as the ‘Guest of Honour’. Flag High, Spirits Higher Tiranga Yatra Success
A large number of students from our ACET institution participated enthusiastically in “Tiranga Yatra” organized by State Government to express support for the Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor. The event aimed to promote national unity and pride, and it certainly achieved its objective. As participants walked through the designated route, carrying the national flag and chanting patriotic slogans, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of pride and belonging. The event not only highlighted the importance of national pride but also fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among the students. Overall, the Tiranga Yatra was a memorable experience for all involved, leaving a lasting impact on the students and reinforcing the values of patriotism and national unity.
Awareness Program About Sexual Harassment
Our ACET institution recently conducted an awareness program on preventing sexual harassment, dated on 13/5/2025. Aiming to educate students about the importance of a safe and respectful environment. Mrs. Suja Sukumaran is currently working as a Consultant for the NGO Enfold Trust since 2013. She had been engaged in assisting children who have gone through sexual abuse and works with Govt. department projects . She urged participants to promote a culture of respect and support, encouraging them to report incidents and support victims and also she stressed the significance of mutual respect and consent in all interactions. The program was attended by 250 members including students, faculty, and staff. We plan to conduct more sessions and workshops to reinforce a safe and respectful environment.

ACET Hosts Successful Sports Events
Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) recently hosted sports events for football and kho-kho, with men’s and women’s teams participating. The events were a huge success, thanks to the tireless efforts of our PT Sir.
The tournaments saw some exciting matches, with teams showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. ACET is committed to promoting a culture of sportsmanship and teamwork, and these events were a testament to that commitment.

ACET Hosts Knowledge Enhancement Session with EBSCO IT Services
We were delighted to have Mr. Lakhpat Singh, Training Manager at EBSCO IT Services, conducted a session at our ACET Seminar Hall. The session was attended by our Principal, Dr. Prasad Naik Hamsavath, and faculties and students.

Faculty Development Program (FDP) on NAAC at ACET
Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) to enhance the quality of education and research.

Expert Session on New Education Policy (NEP) at ACET
Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) organized a session on the New Education Policy (NEP) with Dr. Mohammed Riyaz Ahmed, Principal of HKBK College of Engineering, as the esteemed speaker.
The session, held at our seminar hall, focused on the transformative reforms in the NEP and its impact on the education sector. Dr. Ahmed shared his expertise and insights on the policy’s key features, such as multidisciplinary education, flexible curricula, and emphasis on skill development.
