On November 7, 2025, the Department of Basic Sciences at Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Bangalore, organized Auroria 2025 – a vibrant and inspiring Science Exhibition designed to foster creativity, innovation, and the spirit of scientific inquiry among first-year students.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ganesh Babu T., Director, and Dr. M. S. Ganesha Prasad, Principal, who appreciated the students’ enthusiasm, innovation, and the practical application of scientific concepts displayed through various models and demonstrations.

A seminar on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity” was conducted at Aditya College of Engineering and Technology. The session aimed to inspire students to explore entrepreneurship as a viable and rewarding career path, emphasizing the role of innovation and creative thinking in shaping successful ventures.

Objectives of the Seminar
The main objectives of this seminar were to: 1. Create awareness among students about entrepreneurship and its growing importance in the modern economy. 2. Explain the difference between being an entrepreneur and running a traditional business. 3. Encourage innovative thinking and problem-solving skills among students. 4. Provide insights into the government and private funding opportunities available for student entrepreneurs in India.
Key Highlights of the Session
➢ Difference between Entrepreneurship and Business Prof Jagadeesh Patil S began the session by explaining the fundamental difference between entrepreneurship and business.
He stated that a businessperson typically manages an existing model with a focus on profit, where as an entrepreneur identifies new opportunities, takes calculated risks, and introduces innovation to create value and bring change to society.
➢ Understanding Startups The concept of startups was discussed in detail. Prof. Patil highlighted that startups are not just small businesses but innovative ventures designed to scale rapidly. He emphasized that India has become one of the largest startup ecosystems in the world, providing immense scope for young minds to contribute through creativity and technology.
➢ Importance of Innovation Innovation was identified as the key element of successful entrepreneurship. Prof. Patil motivated students to think beyond conventional boundaries and develop solutions that address real-world problems. He stressed that innovation helps differentiate one’s product or service in a competitive market.
➢ Funding Opportunities for Students An important part of the seminar focused on the funding options available to student entrepreneurs in India. Prof. Patil elaborated on various schemes and support systems provided
by the Government of India, such as:
Startup India Initiative Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) MSME Support Programs Incubation Centers and Innovation Cells in educational institutions
➢ Student Interaction and Participation The session was highly interactive, with students asking questions about idea validation, risk management, and ways to build a startup team. Prof. Patil shared real-life examples of successful entrepreneurs who started small but created a big impact through innovation and perseverance.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT
Our students from ISE department had the opportunity to visit NTTF (Nettur Technical Training Foundation), Electronic City, Bangalore on 29th August 2025. The objective of this industrial visit was to provide students with practical exposure to emerging technologies and help them understand their applications in real-world industrial scenarios.
During the visit, the students were introduced to various IoT (Internet of Things) based projects, where they learned how interconnected devices can be used to collect, process, and share data for automation and smart decision-making. They were shown practical demonstrations of IoT systems applied in fields such as home automation, smart monitoring, and industrial control, which gave them a clear picture of how theory translates into functional systems.

DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAM
0ur ACET College recently organized drug awareness program. which was held on 23/6/2025. The main agenda of this program is to educate students about carcinogenicity of substances and its consequences. Praveen kumar, police inspector CEN (Cybercrime Economic Offences and Narcotic), Bengaluru city police, Govt. of Karnataka. He served as the guest of honour and he emphasized the importance of community involvement in preventing substance abuse. Nagesh, police Sub Inspector, Rajanukunte, Govt. of Karnataka highlighted the role of law enforcement in supporting rehabilitation efforts.
The program increased awareness, promoted healthy lifestyle choices, and fostered a supportive community. Students gained valuable knowledge, contributing to a positive campus environment. The initiative encouraged students to prioritize their well-being and seek help when needed. Aditya Group of Institutions, Bengaluru, celebrated ‘International Yoga Day’ with great enthusiasm on July 21, 2025. The event, held on the college’s open grounds, saw active participation from more than 1000 students and staff, embracing this year’s global theme: “One Earth, One Health.” The celebration was graced by eminent personalities including Smt. Flag High, Spirits Higher Tiranga Yatra Success
A large number of students from our ACET institution participated enthusiastically in “Tiranga Yatra” organized by State Government to express support for the Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor. The event aimed to promote national unity and pride, and it certainly achieved its objective. As participants walked through the designated route, carrying the national flag and chanting patriotic slogans, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of pride and belonging. The event not only highlighted the importance of national pride but also fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among the students. Awareness Program About Sexual Harassment
Our ACET institution recently conducted an awareness program on preventing sexual harassment, dated on 13/5/2025. Aiming to educate students about the importance of a safe and respectful environment. Mrs. Suja Sukumaran is currently working as a Consultant for the NGO Enfold Trust since 2013. She had been engaged in assisting children who have gone through sexual abuse and works with Govt. department projects . She urged participants to promote a culture of respect and support, encouraging them to report incidents and support victims and also she stressed the significance of mutual respect and consent in all interactions. The program was attended by 250 members including students, faculty, and staff. We plan to conduct more sessions and workshops to reinforce a safe and respectful environment.

Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Kamakshipura, celebrated Holi, the vibrant festival of colours, with immense enthusiasm and joy on March 14, 2025. The event, held on the ground floor, commenced at 1 PM, bringing together Principal Dr. Prasad Naik Hamsavath, Director Dr. Ganesh Babu KN, Prof. Madhu Kumar, professors, staff, and students. The celebration fostered unity, happiness, and camaraderie through the universal language of colours, music, and dance. The festivities were marked by the enthusiastic participation of students, who revelled in the joy of smearing vibrant colours, exchanging warm wishes, and indulging in playful banter. The atmosphere was electric, with students from all corners of the campus coming together to celebrate the festival of colours. As the celebration gained momentum, students began to dance to the rhythms of Bollywood Holi songs, their feet tapping to the beat of popular tracks like “Rang Barse” and “Holi Ke Din”. The air was filled with the sound of laughter and music, as students sang along to the songs and danced with abandon.

ACET Hosts Successful Sports Events
Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) recently hosted sports events for football and kho-kho, with men’s and women’s teams participating. The events were a huge success, thanks to the tireless efforts of our PT Sir.
The tournaments saw some exciting matches, with teams showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. ACET is committed to promoting a culture of sportsmanship and teamwork, and these events were a testament to that commitment.

We were delighted to have Mr. Lakhpat Singh, Training Manager at EBSCO IT Services, conducted a session at our ACET Seminar Hall. The session was attended by our Principal, Dr. Prasad Naik Hamsavath, and faculties and students.

Faculty Development Program (FDP) on NAAC at ACET
Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) to enhance the quality of education and research.
The FDP, held on [Date], featured Dr. Niranjan, Dean, RR Institutions, as the esteemed resource person. Dr. Niranjan shared his expertise on the latest developments and best practices in quality assurance and accreditation.

Expert Session on New Education Policy (NEP) at ACET
Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) organized a session on the New Education Policy (NEP) with Dr. Mohammed Riyaz Ahmed, Principal of HKBK College of Engineering, as the esteemed speaker.
The session, held at our seminar hall, focused on the transformative reforms in the NEP and its impact on the education sector. Dr. Ahmed shared his expertise and insights on the policy’s key features, such as multidisciplinary education, flexible curricula, and emphasis on skill development.
