Dr. Mutyala Subramanyam is a distinguished academic professional with over 18 years of experience in higher education, research, and academic leadership. He currently serves as Professor at the School of Management, CMR University, Bengaluru. His expertise lies in corporate governance, accounting standards, financial management, ESG investing, and emerging applications of artificial intelligence in finance and fraud detection.
Dr. Subramanyam holds a Ph.D. in Commerce and Management and is a Gold Medalist in M.Com. He has an extensive publication record with numerous research articles published in Scopus- and Web of Science indexed journals, along with several books and book chapters in the areas of governance, financial inclusion, and sustainable business practices. His scholarly work significantly contributes to both academic literature and policy-relevant discourse.
As a recognized doctoral supervisor, he has successfully guided six Ph.D. scholars to completion and is currently mentoring additional research candidates. He has also led major funded research projects and contributed to interdisciplinary research initiatives addressing social empowerment, entrepreneurship, and corporate transparency.
Dr. Subramanyam has held several prominent academic leadership roles, including Professor and Director, Head of Department, Research Coordinator, Assistant Director (Academic Administration), and Member of Academic Council and Boards of Studies. His leadership has been instrumental in curriculum development, institutional accreditation processes, faculty mentoring, and strengthening university research ecosystems.
His contributions have been recognized through multiple academic awards, including Best Teacher Award, Best Researcher Award, and Best Paper Award at international conferences. He is also an active reviewer and editorial board member for reputed international journals, reflecting his continued engagement with the global academic community.

The session commenced with a formal welcome to the dignitaries, speaker, faculty members, and students. The importance of entrepreneurship and startup culture was highlighted during the inaugural address. Dr. Mutyala Subramanyam delivered an insightful talk on “Raising Capital and Finance Management for Start-ups,” focusing on various funding opportunities available for startups including bootstrapping, angel investors, venture capital, government grants, and crowdfunding.
